Adjacent to Chinatown in lower Manhattan, Little Italy is a small neighborhood with a high population of Italian Americans. It is situated in between Broome st to the North, Canal st to the South, Lafayette St to the West and the Bowery to the East.
Needless to say, Little Italy goes out of its way to promote an Italian atmosphere within a few small, cobblestone streets. This industrial neighborhood hosts a large amount of Italian restaurants and shops, giving it a historic, European atmosphere. It is a favorite spot among tourists for the sights, and a favorite spot among locals for the food.
